:) fuckyeahvikingsandcelts: An Grianan of Aileach by Child of Danu on Flickr. This is An Grianan, an iron age ring fort dating back some 3000 years sitting on a hill near where I live. There are many myths and legends regarding the site, including one in which it was built by Dagdha himself, and it is believed by archaeologists that there has indeed been a fort of some kind on this hill for over 5000 years.
